The Macrograb is designed for ropes from 12 to 19 mm kernmantle rope. It has the exact same features as the Micrograb. It is designed to be permanently installed on the rope. This is done by threading the Macrograb onto one end of the rope (or by removing the cam using a spanner). Axle is bolted to the device to help prevent involuntary removal: to install, the rope must be passed through the device from one of the ends.
